Alan Myers shares encouraging Everton transfer claim as summer transfer window enters final few weeks

Everton have made a splash in the transfer window this summer with the addition of four new faces already.

Sean Dyche must be pleased with the business already done at Goodison Park so far having recently added centre-back Jake O’Brien to his squad.

However, Everton have a lot to improve on from last season with a strong end to the season potentially masking what was a really tricky campaign for the Blues.

But the Toffees have looked to start the season off on the front foot with the addition of four new players this summer with weeks still to go in the window.

Ahead of the final month of the window, Sky Sports man Alan Myers has just shared an insight into what may lie ahead for Everton in the market.

What Everton could do in the transfer window after signing Jake O’Brien

It has certainly been a mixed summed so far for the Blues with action on and off the pitch providing disappointment.

The Toffees have not won any of their three friendly games having drawn against Sligo Rovers and lost against Salford City and Coventry City.

Perhaps worst of all, The Friedkin Group’s proposed takeover of the club has also fallen through.

However, the one cause for optimism has been how Everton have operated in the transfer market with some smart additions brought into the club.

Taking to social media, Myers has suggested that there could still be more new signings headed to Merseyside over the coming weeks.

When asked whether any further purchased will depend on players now departing Goodison, Myers replied: “I think there will be an element of that, but I wouldn’t rule out more new faces”.

A really promising insight for Everton fans following the impressive start the club has made in the market this summer.

Who could Everton look to sign next this summer?

Goals have to be added to this Everton side ahead of the new season starting given the Blues had the second-worst record in front of goal last season.

So far, Everton have strengthened their frontline, however, it remains to be seen whether they have totally solved their issues.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin could also leave Everton still this summer with his contract situation remaining unresolved.

If this was the case, then Everton would certainly need further firepower up top.
