Sources: Tottenham expect to complete six more signings in stunning late blizzar
Tottenham expect to complete at least six more signings in a late-window blizzard, sources have told Football Insider.
Spurs are in the advanced stages of talks to sign Wolfsburg defender Micky van de Ven and Rosario Central striker Alejo Veliz.
They have also agreed a deal for Blackburn Rovers youngster Ashley Phillips, although the deal has not yet been confirmed.
Moreover, Spurs expect to bring in another new centre-back, and they will also sign replacements for star duo Harry Kane and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg if they leave by deadline day.
That would mean at least six more signings are still to be done, and there could be even more arrivals before the window shuts.
New Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has experienced a lively start to his tenure in North London, with James Maddison joining his squad in a £40million move from Leicester City, while Pedro Porro, Dejan Kulusevski and Guglielmo Vicario also signed on a permanent basis.

Kane’s potential departure has hogged the deadlines, with Bayern submitting a final bid for the England striker after weeks of negotiations.
Harry Winks and Lucas Moura are the only two major departures of the summer for Spurs so far, although Hojbjerg has been heavily linked with a move to Atletico Madrid.
Van de Ven’s imminent arrival will help to reinforce Spurs’ defensive department, but Postecoglou is still on the lookout for further depth in his back line.
Tottenham’s Premier League season gets underway with a trip to London rivals Brentford on Sunday afternoon.
