Liverpool have made offer to sign 22-year-old winger – Reds need to get ahead of competition for signing
Liverpool are among the clubs in the race to sign LASK star Keito Nakamura, according to a report.
The left winger starred for the Austrian club last season, scoring 17 goals and registering eight assists from 36 games. His form has caught the attention of several clubs across Europe, including the Reds.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who state Liverpool have tabled a €7m bid to secure his services. It’s also stated they were ready to allow the 22-year-old to return to LASK on loan next season.
The website states the Merseyside club’s proposal was rejected by LASK, who have set a €11m asking price, to make him a club-record sale.
Liverpool aren’t the only club after the Japan international as Foot Mercato say Eintracht Frankfurt and Lille are also keen on signing him, with the latter in pole position.
Nakamura was initially against the idea of moving to France but has now changed his mind and has ‘started to take information’ about Ligue 1 and Lille.
