Tottenham are beginning to make their move for ‘unplayable’ attacker

Tottenham are moving quicker than most of their rivals in this summer transfer window.

Indeed, while many of the top Premier League sides are yet to make any moves, Spurs have announced two arrivals as Timo Werner has returned for a second loan spell and Archie Gray has signed from Leeds.

Now, Spurs are turning their attention to more attacking options, and one player they’re said to be keen on is Rennes’ Desire Doue.

Speaking on Playback, Ben Jacobs has shared an update on Tottenham’s interest in Doue, claiming that Spurs are beginning to really push to sign the ‘unplayable’ winger.

Tottenham starting to move for Desire Doue
Jacobs shared what he knows about the Spurs target.

“Links for Desire Doue, but I’m told it’s not Chelsea at the moment who are the club to watch, it is Tottenham who are pushing,” Jacobs said.

“Desire Doue, PSG are one of the suitors, Bayern and Spurs, and Spurs are the ones who are really starting to move now. The interesting thing in all of this is that Rennes are saying they’re not under pressure to sell.”

“PSG are there but I’m told that Spurs are the ones who are really starting to circle at this stage.”

Doue would be an exciting signing
This would be a very exciting signing.

Doue looks to be a top talent, and the fact that both PSG and Bayern are keen on the winger goes to show how brilliant he is.

Of course, if PSG or Bayern do come in for Doue, Spurs’ chances of signing the youngster will take a serious hit. After all, both European giants are Champions League contenders, while Spurs aren’t even playing Champions League football next season.

It sounds as though Tottenham are the first team making a move for Doue, but don’t be shocked if bigger fish enter this race with PSG and Bayern Munich circling.

PSG are now thinking about signing Tottenham’s ‘outstanding’ young player
Charles Jones

Indeed, while Spurs have been disappointing in recent years under Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho, they’re moving in the right direction under Ange Postecoglou, and there are some talented young players within the squad.

The likes of Ashley Phillips, Jamie Donley and Alfie Dorrington have all been tipped for big things, while Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall are two exciting new additions.

However, perhaps the jewel in Tottenham’s crown is young Mikey Moore. The teenager is said to be the next big thing in English football.

Of course, when you have a talent this prodigious, there’s bound to be interest, and according to Ben Jacobs, speaking on Last Word on Spurs, PSG are interested in the ‘outstanding’ youngster.

PSG interested in Mikey Moore
Jacobs shared what he’s heard about Moore.

“With Mikey Moore, the Tottenham perspective is more to keep hold of the player if they possibly can, and there is, as we know, for example, some early interest from PSG,” Jacobs said.

Tottenham need to keep Moore
Tottenham need to do all they can to keep Mikey Moore.

This young man isn’t ready for the first-team yet, but the fact that PSG are sniffing around suggests he’s got a huge future ahead of him.

Tottenham know better than most teams how important these young academy graduates can eventually become – just look at Harry Kane, and it would be so frustrating if Spurs lost Moore before he fulfilled his potential.

Of course, if PSG come calling it is difficult to say no, especially in this era of English players flourishing abroad, but Tottenham need to pull out all the stops to make sure they can keep Moore at least for a few more years.

This is an exciting young player, and PSG’s interest is certainly worrying from a Tottenham perspective.
