Packers Receivers Christian Watson & Jayden Reed Return To Practice On Thursday Following Injury Scares
GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers got some good news on the injury front on Thursday as two of their top receivers returned to practice.
According to head coach Matt LaFleur, Watson is “doing well,” following an injury scare that cut short practice on Wednesday.
Watson was injured while competing with rookie safety Evan Williams for a Jordan Love throw when he went down hard and remained down, which LaFleur said was scary at the time, “That was a big-time scare. He seems to be doing well this morning. Just got hit on the knee.”
However, LaFleur also stated that he was not concerned about the long-term status of second-year receiver Jayden Reed who missed practice on Wednesday due to a calf injury.
LaFleur did not comment on whether Watson or Reed will suit up for the preseason game against the Cleveland Browns on Saturday after stating earlier this week that he plans to play all of the healthy veterans, including quarterback Jordan Love.
