Everton have serious interest in signing an Aston Villa target.
AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham is the subject of a potential bid from Everton, according to a recent report in Italy.
The former England international swapped the Premier League for Serie A three years ago and has had mixed success. Returning in April after a long-term injury, Abraham at least managed to notch one goal and one assist in 318 minutes to escape the campaign with something to write home about.
Abraham’s previous two years at Roma were rather contrasting as he netted a career-best 27 goals in 53 appearances during his first campaign but scored just nine times the season after. Although rather inconsistent over the years, there’s no doubting the striker’s capabilities and clinical nature when he’s at his best.
Villa have been linked with a swoop for their former player, who was a goalscoring machine during the 2018/19 promotion campaign. The former Chelsea ace netted 26 goals in 40 appearances during his season-long loan spell, helping soar the men in claret and blue back to the Premier League.

Everton could be the club to make the first move this summer, however, as Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari reports the Toffees have asked for information from Roma. Sean Dyche’s side are said to be considering making a bid for Abraham to offer him a concrete route back to England.
Tammy Abraham available for bargain fee
The Telegraph reported in June that the striker could be available for as little as £20 million. Roma must sell players to raise funds as they are struggling to comply with Financial Fair Play (FFP), much like English sides recently faced issues with the Premier League’s profit and sustainability regulations (PSR).
