Breaking: Two elite players’ departures from West Ham United have been formally confirmed.

Johnson and Mubama are departing from west Ham United.

It has been confirmed by West Ham United that Ben Johnson and Divin Mubama will be leaving the Club on June 30, 2024, at midnight, when their respective contracts expire. Johnson, a 17-year-old Academy of Football graduate, leaves West Ham after 17 years of service. Johnson first joined the team when he was a kid. After turning pro in 2018, the adaptable Johnson made his Premier League debut at Manchester City in February 2019. Since then, he has made 109 appearances across all competitions and scored two goals.

The 24-year-old started eight games as West Ham won the UEFA Europa Conference League in June 2023 and made eight appearances during the Hammers’ run to the UEFA Europa League semi-finals in 2021/22, including all six knockout ties. The next month, he and England won the UEFA European U21 Championship. Both Johnson and fellow Academy graduate Mubama, a 19-year-old forward, were on the victorious team in Prague.Breaking: Two elite players' departures from West Ham United have been formally confirmed.

The Newham-born striker has made eighteen appearances for the first team. He made his debut in a group-stage victory against FCSB in Romania during the UEFA Europa Conference League in November 2022, and he scored his first and only goal as a senior during a round of 16 victory over AEK Larnaca at London Stadium in March 2023. In 2022–2023, Mubama was a member of the Academy’s FA Youth Cup and U18 Premier League South winning teams. At the conclusion of the season, he was awarded Mark Noble Young Hammer of the Year. Additionally, England captained him at every age category, from U15 to U20.
