Everton Remembers Those Who Passed Away In 2020

Everton paid tribute to players, staff and supporters who passed away in 2020 before the Blues’ New Year’s Day game against West Ham United.
Names were displayed on Goodison Park’s big screens ahead of kick off, while a tribute was also posted on evertonfc.com and the Club’s official Twitter page.
Among those remembered were 1960s wing-half George Sharples, distinguished scout Bob Pendleton and Lady Rita Carter, the wife of pioneering former Everton Chairman, the late Sir Philip Carter, who died peacefully on 27 December, aged 95.
The annual tribute had originally been planned for Everton’s postponed 28 December meeting with Manchester City.
