When things are going smoothly, Everton is a wonderful club to be around.
It is a feeling fans have become wholly unaccustomed to, given their ongoing struggles spanning over two years now.
However, with Sean Dyche now at the helm, seemingly having turned a corner with the Toffees, at last some positivity has returned to Goodison Park at the perfect time.
Comfortable in the Premier League as of late, and having just earned a spot in the EFL Cup quarter-finals, there is little to complain about for a change.
And yet that could all soon be thrown into jeopardy should the league get their way, as they seek to impose an impossibly harsh sanction onto Farhad Moshiri’s club for fiscal misconduct and the flouting of Financial Fair Play.

They are not to go down without a fight, but it is unlikely that they will be able to spend freely with so many eyes now watching them.
Therefore, it is surprising to see transfer guru Fabrizio Romano suggest that they still hold an interest in Crysencio Summerville, who is thriving for Leeds United despite rumours of a potential Merseyside switch back in the summer.

He told his Daily Briefing on Thursday: ‘I mentioned Everton, Bournemouth and Burnley as clubs interested in Crysencio Summerville last summer but he decided to stay at Leeds.
‘In January it could change – I’m not aware of anything advanced yet but this could change in the next few weeks as many clubs are following him, though I can’t comment on any concrete names for the moment.’
How is Crysencio Summerville playing this season?
Although it is still early days, it does seem like Dyche missed a trick by failing to sign the 22-year-old sensation, who is terrorising the Championship with his pace, trickery and end product.

The German tactician, who has form of earning promotion from the Whites’ current division, recently noted: ‘Crysencio is a baller.’
Whilst Jack Harrison is performing admirably too whilst on loan from Elland Road, and is arguably a better fit for Dyche’s system, it must be hard not to look back at Summerville as one that got away. Perhaps, in this coming January, he could make amends.
