Report: Liverpool have just made their move to sign £20m Brazilian player

Liverpool have reportedly made an approach to sign Fluminense midfielder Andre, with Fulham also interested in the Brazilian youngster.

Football Transfers claim that the Reds have been in contact with the South American side over signing the 22-year-old, who could be on the move to the Premier League if Liverpool meet Fluminense’s €25m (£20m) asking price.

As per the report, Fulham are also chasing Andre, yet another sticking point is that Fluminense aren’t keen on selling the midfielder this window, with Brazilian giants keen to keep hold of their star asset until the January market.

However, this hasn’t stopped Liverpool from making an approach for Andre, with the midfielder an ideal replacement for the likes of Fabinho and Jordan Henderson, who are both close to Saudi Arabia moves.

At 22, Andre will fit Liverpool’s recruitment policy this summer following the arrivals of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, with the Brazilian also an ideal player for Jurgen Klopp’s style of play.

Indeed, Andre is a player who has won praise from scouts for being accomplished at essentially everything in a midfield role, and such versatility will make the youngster a crowd favourite at Anfield.

Liverpool’s midfield was criticised last season as being too slow and too predictable, yet with Andre included, the Fluminense star could transform this area of the pitch into something rather dangerous for the Reds.
