Cristiano Ronaldo’s daughter has been spotted wearing a Mohamed Salah shirt, amid rumours the Egyptian could move to the Saudi Pro League.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Sport has allocated some £17billion to be spent on Saudi Pro League transfers between now and 2030.

Indeed, Jacobs’ claim comes the same week Saudi club Al Hilal offered a world-record bid for Kylian Mbappe, believed to be worth €300m (£259m). The club are reportedly willing to pay the forward €200million (£172million) for a one-season stay if that is what it takes to get the deal done.

Another player that has been linked to the Saudi Pro League at various points is Liverpool star Salah. Indeed, Saudi Arabian football official Hafez Al-Medlej called on the league to “start working on the signing” Salah earlier this summer.

“We must also start working on the signing of Mohamed Salah since he is overwhelmingly popular in the Arab world and in Europe,” Al-Medlej, who has held roles within the Asian Football Confederation and Saudi Pro League, told Koura.

“I think Salah still has records to break with Liverpool, so I hope that if he doesn’t come now he will in the future.”
