Harry Kane faces an uncertain future at Tottenham with his contract set to expire at the end of next season. Prior to the departure of Fabio Paratici in April, football.london understood that Spurs had been in contact with the 29-year-old’s entourage to discuss a new deal.

However, Kane is believed to be in no rush to sign an extension during the transfer window while he assesses his options, whether that be moving this summer, leaving as a free agent in 2024 or signing a new deal later this year. In the meantime, the England international is being heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich, but Daniel Levy seems determined to drive a hard bargain.

With that being said, football.london has rounded up everything we know about his future with the Lilywhites below.

Kane plan

football.london understands that Kane will not sign a new contract with Tottenham this summer but extending his deal is still an option he is open to if he remains in N17 and the club makes promising progress under Ange Postecoglou. It’s said that Bayern would have to offer a considerable fee to even tempt Levy into a deal for Spurs’ all-time record goalscorer despite the fact he will be able to leave for nothing next summer.

Tottenham will not want to lose their main man at all and the club would prefer to tie the academy graduate down to a mega deal, football.london also understands. It’s believed that they’ve offered him the opportunity to sit down and discuss one but the striker is understandably waiting to see how this window pans out and what happens in the months after if he does remain at Tottenham.

Final contract ultimatum

According to The Times, Kane will not extend his stay at Tottenham and would be keen to join Bayern Munich. The report states that the German outfit have recently had a second bid worth £68.5million, plus add-ons, rejected, but Tottenham want in the region of £100million – ideally in an up-front lump payment.

Despite no intention of a long-term future at Spurs, The Times insist that Kane will not force an exit. Levy could be left no choice but to accept the German outfits’ next offer, with the striker seemingly willing to simply leave for free in 12-months time.

Bayern submit improved offer

According to Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, Bayern have now made a second bid to sign the 29-year-old with an offer of €80million (£68m) plus add-ons. The likelihood is that Tottenham will swiftly reject the German outfit’s proposal once again unless they receive a record-breaking bid.

Plettenberg added that Kane ‘definitely’ wants to join Bayern and play under Tuchel in the Bundesliga. Kane’s contract negotiations with Tottenham were put on hold last season, with the striker instead focusing on trying to help the club return to the Champions League.

Second offer

Transfer guru Ben Jacobs has claimed that Bayern are now ready to offer Spurs £80million for Kane, with the Lilywhites still adamant they will reject any bids they receive.

Writing on Twitter, Jacobs said: “Exclusive: Understand that Bayern are to test Daniel Levy’s resolve with an improved offer of around £80m all in for Harry Kane. Spurs position remains that they will reject any bids received.”

Tottenham stance

As per football.london’s Tottenham correspondent Alasdair Gold, Tottenham are continuing to make it very clear that they would immediately turn down any bid for Kane.

Writing on Twitter, Gold said: “Spurs still making it very clear that they would immediately reject a bid for Harry Kane should they receive one.”

Bayern offer

Bayern Munich have submitted a formal bid to Spurs for Kane, as per the Athletic.

It is claimed that the German giants’ offer is €70million (£60million) plus add-ons. Bayern are in the market for a new centre-forward, having not properly replaced Robert Lewandowski, who left for Barcelona last summer.

Real Madrid interest

Real Madrid lost their own first-choice centre-forward Karim Benzema this summer.

The Frenchman opted to join Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Ittihad on a mega-money contract. That leaves Los Blancos in the market for a new clinical frontman and Kane is said to be an option.

In fact, earlier this month, the BBC reported that the England captain was Real’s number-one option to replace Benzema. Since then, they have signed Joselu on a season-long loan from Espanyol but that hasn’t stopped rumours regarding a potential move for Spurs’ striker as well.

Man United decision

Manchester United are working under the belief that Tottenham won’t be selling Kane this summer, as per our sister title Manchester Evening News.

Erik ten Hag’s side are interested in signing the England captain but they are said to be actively pursuing alternatives, considering Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has made it clear that the 29-year-old won’t be sold this summer. football.london reported back in March that while former Tottenham managing director of football Fabio Paratici had spoken to Kane’s camp on a couple of occasions regarding plans to sit down to discuss a new deal in the near future, the club have as of yet not entered into any formal discussions over a new contract for their star forward.

Kane has also constantly made it clear that his main aim has been to win silverware with the Lilywhites, who are yet to win a trophy since their League Cup success back in 2008.
