New Manchester United signing Mason Mount has been welcomed to the club by Lisandro Martinez.
This time last year Manchester United were negotiating back and forth with Ajax over the signing of Lisandro Martinez. From the day he arrived at Old Trafford, the defender has represented the club with 100 per cent commitment.
This year’s new signing Mason Mount has pledged to earn the trust of Manchester United supporters too, and fan favourite Martinez has given his seal of approval.
Mount was announced as a Manchester United player this week and handed the number seven shirt.

Mason Mount sent a message out on Instagram last night in which he pledged to honour Manchester United’s famous shirt.
He wrote: “I know the history and understand the responsibility that comes with this shirt. The most important thing for me is to gain your trust and I will work hard to do that. I won’t let you down Reds!”
One Manchester United player responded with a message – with Lisandro Martinez leaving two clapping emojis.

Last season Mason Mount and Lisandro Martinez clashes during a fiery flashpoint in the game at Stamford Bridge, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
Luke Shaw ended up dragging England colleague Mount away, which many fans said on social media, was for his own safety.
In squaring up to Martinez, Mount will have earned his new teammates’ respect, and clearly, there are no hard feelings on the United defenders’ part.
