It’s been a good week for Liverpool as its summer rebuild got off to the perfect start with the signing of Alexis Mac Allister.
The Argentine becomes the first piece of Jürgen Klopp’s overhaul following the disappointing 2022/23 campaign, having signed a five-year deal at Anfield. And with Fabrizio Romano suggesting the fee could be as low as $44m (£35m/€41m), the Reds may have already bagged the bargain of the summer.
Mac Allister’s signing certainly sets the benchmark for Liverpool’s rivals during the window. As the season draws to a close tonight with the Champions League final, sides in the Premier League and abroad will no doubt be looking to follow suit during what is set to be a busy few months
Among those who could be on the move is former Liverpool favorite Sadio Mané, who‘s being linked with a surprise transfer to Spain, while Manchester United could be moving closer to a double signing to kick off their business.

Real Madrid ‘interested’ in Sadio Mané
Real Madrid is interested in signing Sadio Mané this summer, according to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti.
The former Liverpool star has been heavily linked with a move away from Bayern Munich, less than a year after leaving Anfield. According to German outlet Bild earlier this week, Mané is one of seven players to have been included on the Bundesliga champion’s transfer list.
But a path to Spain could now be open to the Senegal international. According to Galetti (on Twitter), Real Madrid is ‘evaluating’ Mané’s situation as they look at potential reinforcements for their attacking options.

Manchester United has reportedly been given a double transfer boost, with two players wanting to sign for Erik ten Hag’s side.
United is yet to get its transfer business underway this summer, having beaten Liverpool to a place in the Premier League’s top four this season, and qualification for next season’s Champions League. Ten Hag, though, still has plenty of work to do on his squad if they’re to be in a position to challenge for the league or a European trophy.
He may have been helped in his efforts to find new signings though, with The Mirror reporting that Monaco defender Axel Disasi and Atalanta striker Rasmus Højlund have both expressed an interest in making the move to Old Trafford this summer.
Liverpool, meanwhile, has received a double boost of its own, with Le Parisien reporting that PSG is not intending to challenge the Reds for the signing of Khéphren Thuram and Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director Roland Virkus confirming that the German club would be willing to sell Manu Koné this summer for the right price.
