Everton are enjoying themselves under Sean Dyche, with a real feel-good factor emerging at Finch Farm after the recent 10-point deduction.

And one player now seemingly keen to get in on the action is Dele Alli, with the midfielder keen to reignite his Goodison Park career.

Injury has halted his progress this season, but a return to the pitch may just be very close for the Toffees man after he was spotted in the latest training session at Finch Farm, as per the official Everton X account (14 December).

The 27-year-old was among the players getting ready for a trip to Turf Moor, with Burnley hosting the Toffees in Premier League action on Saturday (16 December).

Dyche has had to deal with plenty of injuries this season, so the return of Alli to full fitness should be welcomed with open arms.

But at the same time, it may worry the powers that be at Goodison, with Everton needing to pay Tottenham £10million if the player makes another seven appearances for the Merseyside club [Daily Mail, 20 November].

Given Everton’s financial situation, paying such a figure for a player who has made little impact in blue is not likely to go down well behind the scenes.

But perhaps Dyche won’t be thinking too much about the finances when selecting his squads for the coming weeks, with a busy schedule incoming.

The man in the dugout will want every available player at his disposal, and given that Alli is back on the grass, that is likely to include the former Tottenham ace.
