Something James Ward-Prowse has just said will be music to the West Ham fans’ ears

James Ward-Prowse spoke to the press after our 2-0 win over Sheffield United and his comments will be music to the West Ham United fans’ ears.
West Ham signed James Ward-Prowse from Southampton in the summer for around £30 million (Sky Sports).
The 28-year-old midfielder has already proven to be an exceptional addition by Hammers boss David Moyes.
Ward-Prowse has taken us to another level, and not just because of his ability from set-pieces.
And he clearly has an elite mentality as well…
West Ham fans will love what James Ward-Prowse has just said
The ex-Saints ace spoke to reporters after we beat the Blades 2-0 at the London Stadium on Saturday.
And Ward-Prowse suggested that he was disappointed that we only won the match by two goals, as quoted by WHUFC.com:
West Ham fans will love what James Ward-Prowse has just said
“We’re really pleased with the performance. It was a tough game on Saturday – every game in the Premier League is tough – but especially coming up against a team who had a difficult week last week. We knew it was going to be a tough game, but the two early goals helped us and I think we’re a little bit disappointed that we couldn’t build on that [with more goals] in the second half.”
That really is great to hear. Ward-Prowse clearly has an elite mentality. The fact that he was disappointed with a 2-0 win really is an example of the kind of mindset the former Southampton ace has.
It cannot be underestimated what a huge difference he has made to Moyes’s team since moving to East London.
The £30 million that we paid Southampton for his services now seems like an absolute bargain.
He’s already bagged five goals and two assists for West Ham in just seven outings, and if he even gets close to maintaining those kind of numbers throughout the entirety of the campaign, he’ll be the undisputed signing of the season.
