_STEELERS DB RYAN WATTS SIGNS ROOKIE CONTRACT_

Pittsburgh, PA – The Pittsburgh Steelers announced on Saturday that rookie defensive back Ryan Watts has signed his rookie contract with the team.

Watts, a third-round draft pick out of Texas, inked a four-year deal with the Steelers, securing his spot on the team’s roster.

“We’re thrilled to have Ryan on board,” said Steelers General Manager Omar Khan. “He’s a talented young player with a lot of potential, and we’re excited to see him grow and develop in our system.”CONFIRMED: Steelers DB Ryan Watts signed his rookie contract on Saturday.

Watts, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound cornerback, was a standout player at Texas, earning All-Big 12 honors in 2022. He’s known for his speed, agility, and ball-hawking skills, and is expected to compete for a starting spot in the Steelers’ secondary.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to join the Steelers organization,” said Watts. “I’m looking forward to learning from the coaches and veteran players, and contributing to the team’s success.”

With Watts’ signing, the Steelers have now locked up all of their 2023 draft picks, solidifying their rookie class and setting the stage for a competitive training camp.
