Report shares positive news around 26 year-old Crystal Palace star

Reports have now provided a positive injury update on Crystal Palace summer signing Dean Henderson.

The latest comes from journalist Edmund Brack.

So, what’s the new injury update on Crystal Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson? Let’s take a look…

What’s the story?
Henderson joined the Eagles in the summer on a deal that could rise to £20m. He is apparently on wages of around £100,000-a-week at the club.

He made his debut against his former club Manchester United in the Carabao Cup but had to be subbed off in the first half due to an injury. This happened back in September.

According to LondonNewsOnline journalist Edmund Brack, Henderson has already returned to individual training as he battles to get match fit.

Apparently, the Englishman is still a number of weeks away, but the news is that he is making early progress and this is great to hear

Injury update on Crystal Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson

This is no doubt good news for Palace fans to hear. The club have been very quiet about the player and his injury.

Many may have expected Henderson to be sidelined for longer. To now hear he is back in individual training means that he is closer to full fitness than first thought.

The 26 year-old was a big money signing in the summer and with the Eagles not adding enough depth, his injury caused a lot of criticism.

Henderson may not come straight into the starting lineup at the moment. However, with Johnstone now 30 years-old, there is no doubt that the Eagles have the goalkeeper position sorted for many years.

Hopefully Henderson will steer clear from injury troubles now and battle Johnstone for the number one spot. Healthy competition in the first-team squad will be seen as a positive. It should bring the best out of the pair.
