Manager lost for words over what ‘exceptional’ Liverpool talent did last night

Scot Gemmill was full of praise for Liverpool’s Ben Doak last night after the winger’s impressive performance for Scotland’s U-21s.
Speaking to the Daily Record, the Scottish coach was in awe of the Liverpool attacker’s display against Spain, with Doak stealing the show for Scotland despite losing the game 1-0.
Having already featured for Liverpool in the Premier League this season, big things are expected for Doak this campaign, with minutes in the UEFA Europa League seemingly a guarantee.
And the 17-year-old was again in brilliant form for Scotland last night, with Doak showcasing why he could be the Tartan Army’s latest superstar attacker in the making.
Indeed, the winger was incredible for Scotland, and Gemmill was impressed, with the coach saying on the Liverpool youngster: “It was an exceptional performance from Ben Doak.

“I would even add that’s there more to come from him. He’s not fully match fit at the moment because of his limited minutes as he is playing for such a good club.”
Doak could soon be a full Scotland international
Things have never been better for Scotland on the international stage, with the home country on the verge of qualifying for Euro 2024 and currently leading their group ahead of Spain.
And Doak will be eyeing a spot in next summer’s squad for the competition, with the Liverpool winger potentially the most exciting player Scotland currently have in their talent pool.
Should Liverpool give Doak the minutes the forward deserves, there’s no telling how far the attacker can go in the next 12 months, with Euro 2024 a realistic target for the teenage sensation.
