Sky reporter shares what he’s been told about Spurs-bound Luka Vuskovic

Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge has been told that Luka Vuskovic could be ready to shine for Tottenham Hotspur at just 18.
Luka Vuskovic is being backed to shine for Tottenham Hotspur as soon as he arrives at the club in 2025.
That is according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge, who has been speaking on Last Word on Spurs.
Bridge was speaking shortly after Fabrizio Romano broke the news of Tottenham closing in on the signing of Vuskovic.
Romano claims that Vuskovic has agreed personal terms with Tottenham and only wants a move to Spurs despite interest from elsewhere.
The 16-year-old is considered to be a huge talent and Spurs fans are getting pretty excited about his arrival.
Michael Bridge comments on Luka Vuskovic
Sky Sports reporter Bridge noted that news of Vuskovic being on the verge of joining Tottenham is ‘really, really good’.
Bridge added that a deal is ‘close’ and he loves that Tottenham are thinking this far ahead given that Vuskovic can’t play for Spurs until 2025.
Bridge even claims to have spoken to somebody who knows plenty about youth football around Europe and they raved about Vuskovic.
Vuskovic could be ready to play for Spurs at just 18 according to that source, which Bridge describes as ‘quite unbelievable’.
“This is really, really good news coming out,” said Bridge. “It’s not confirmed by the club yet, but it’s close. Now, I don’t think Spurs will see him until 2025, but the fact that Spurs are actually thinking that far ahead is very, very positive.”
“One person who knows the youth level has said to me ‘this kid could be ready at 18’, which is quite unbelievable but I suppose that’s backed up by the level he’s playing at,” he added.
Vuskovic isn’t a Tottenham player just yet but the deal is now expected to go through without a hitch.
The 6ft 4in defender has already played first-team football for Hajduk having emerged as one of the top talents in Europe.
The Daily Mail have even likened Vuskovic to Gerard Pique in terms of his style of play – and no doubt his huge potential too.
Brexit rules mean that Vuskovic can’t play in England until he turns 18, so Spurs have to wait a while before seeing him in action.
Slotting into the Spurs side at just 18 is pretty bold but Vuskovic clearly has elite potential and Tottenham fans will now spend a long, long time getting excited about him.
