Pundit can’t believe what Fabrizio Romano is now reporting about Moises Caicedo

Moises Caicedo is reportedly joining Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea despite having interest from Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Chelsea have agreed a deal with Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion for the signing of Moises Caicedo in the summer transfer window.
The Italian journalist has claimed that Chelsea will pay Brighton a transfer fee of £115 million plus add-ons.
The 21-year-old Ecuador international midfielder will now undergo a medical before signing a contract with Chelsea until June 2031 with the option to extend it by another year.
Jose Enrique on transfer fee for Chelsea and Liverpool target Moises Caicedo
90min has reported that Liverpool were keen on Caicedo as well and had agreed on a deal worth £111 million with Brighton last week.
However, the youngster wanted to move only to Chelsea, who have now sealed a deal with the Seagulls.
Former Liverpool star and pundit Jose Enrique is stunned at the transfer fee that Chelsea are paying for Caicedo.
We believe that Chelsea are paying too much for Caicedo.
There is no way that the midfielder is worth £115 million even with add-ons.
Yes, the midfielder is a very good player who has done well for Brighton, but he has not even played 50 matches in the Premier League.
Caicedo has played well for just one season in the Premier League.
What Chelsea are paying for is potential.
The Blues will hope that Caicedo does turn out to be the player they think he will become.
If not, then Chelsea would have wasted a lot of money.
Now, we are not saying that Caicedo is not a good player.
We believe that the Ecuador international does indeed have huge potential and would make Chelsea better in the middle of the park, but we simply do not see him as a player who is worth over £100 million.
No way.
