David Moyes reacts as he’s tipped for ‘great move’ by ex-Everton ally – ‘I’m sure…’

Everton transfer speculation has started to heat up ahead of the January transfer window.

David Moyes will be hoping to continue the Toffees’ good start the the Premier League campaign when Everton play Tottenham on Sunday evening.

Everton have been linked with Anthony Caci, as Kojo Peprah Oppong has been linked with a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The Toffees didn’t make many signings in the summer transfer window, but the Blues did enough by bringing Jack Grealish to Everton.

Now, with the January transfer window looming, Moyes has been quizzed on signing a new striker.

David Moyes thinks Ivan Toney is ‘such a good player’
Moyes’ first Everton spell started in 2002 and ended after a long 11-year period in 2013, as Bryan King served him as a trusty scout during his first tenure.

King has backed Moyes to sign Ivan Toney, after transfer speculation ahead of January has started to heat up, as the Everton boss has now had his say on links regarding the former Premier League striker, and what he is “sure” of.

“I’m sure Ivan Toney would get linked with about 20 clubs, never mind our club, because he’s such a good player,” said Moyes, as quoted by Sky Sports.

“We’ve got what we’ve got just now, and we want to develop them and make them better. But also we need results.

“All clubs are looking forward now. It’s not too far away.“

King claimed Toney would be a “great move” for Moyes, and Everton may go for him come January.

Beto has not impressed at Everton and could easily be replaced in the upcoming transfer window, as stats prove Toney could be such an improvement on the former.

How do Toney’s stats match Beto’s this season?
With Toney now playing in Saudi Arabia for Al Ahli, there will be doubts over whether he could come back to England and score in the Premier League.

However, if the 29-year-old is available for a price that makes sense for the Blues, then they should go for him, because at the very least, Toney will still be an improvement on Beto.

There’s no doubting that Beto has been poor for Everton this season in front of goal, but it’s also his all-around game that has been bad for the Toffees.

Toney has played fewer games this league campaign than Beto and has much more convincing stats.

The former Brentford striker has amassed 39 goals in 57 games in Saudi Arabia, and clearly still has his knack for scoring goals, as Everton should be desperate for his signature in January.
