Former Everton manager Rafael Benitez has just been handed a new opportunity at one incredibly well-established European club.
Earlier this week, Dyche made his return to the game after sitting out for the best part of a year following his sacking at Everton.
Nottingham Forest have appointed Dyche as their replacement for Ange Postecoglou after just 39 days in charge.
Fortunately for Everton fans, the Friedkins have brought stability back to Merseyside following the return of David Moyes.
The days of Benitez’s tenure at Goodison Park are now a thing of the distant past under the new owners.
However, the 65-year-old Spaniard has now been appointed as the new manager of a club that has won their league 20 times.

Former Everton manager Rafael Benitez lands new job
Recently, Andros Townsend admitted he joined Everton because of Benitez, who was adamant about bringing him to Merseyside.
The Spaniard has not been in the game since early 2024 before he was sacked by Celta Vigo.

On Friday, it was announced that Greek giants Panathinaikos had made Benitez their new manager.

This is Benitez’s 17th managerial role during his long career, nearly four years on from his departure from Everton.
Despite being the second-most successful side in Greece with 20 league titles, Panathinaikos are currently slumped in seventh spot of the table.
Benitez was linked with the Rangers job alongside the likes of Dyche, but that has since been filled by Danny Rohl.
Having failed to manage a full season in any of his last three jobs, there will be eyes on Benitez and how he fares in Greece.
Benitez will face the Friedkins’ AS Roma in Europa League
Although there is no return to England on the cards for the 65-year-old just yet, he will be facing The Friedkin Group’s other club in the Europa League.
AS Roma will visit Panathinaikos in the final league game of the Europa League at the end of January.
The Greek outfit only have three points from their opening three games, though.
Everton want to qualify for European football for next season and if things go to plan there may well be a reunion to look forward to with Benitez next season.
