Former Champions League finalist snubbed chance to manage Everton before David Moyes deal
Everton considered a number of potential managerial appointments before landing David Moyes, including Edin Terzic.
Sean Dyche is back in the game after becoming Nottingham Forest manager.
Dyche was axed by The Friedkin Group in January as David Moyes made an emotional return to Everton.
Moving on from Dyche came as no great surprise, and Moyes certainly made sense as his successor.
Everton did consider other options, though, including former Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzic.

Reports suggested that Terzic was on Everton’s radar alongside Sergio Conceicao and Graham Potter.
Moyes landed the job, but it’s now suggested that Terzic turned down the chance to manage Everton.
Sky Germany report that Terzic has received a number of approaches since leaving Dortmund in 2024.

Everton are one of those clubs to have allegedly been snubbed, with Monaco and Real Sociedad also rejected.
Monaco recently hired Sebastien Pocognoli as their manager, while Sergio Francisco was appointed by Real Sociedad over the summer.
Terzic guided Borussia Dortmund to the 2024 Champions League final and is seemingly waiting for the absolute right opportunity.
The former West Ham coach would surely relish a Premier League job one day, but Everton look settled with Moyes at the helm, meaning any renewed interest is unlikely for the foreseeable future.
The Friedkin Group appear to rate Edin Terzic highly
Terzic may be one name to keep in mind for the long term, though, especially as The Friedkin Group appear to be big fans.
Roma were chasing a new manager over the summer and appointed Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini.
Terzic was also in the mix, and Gazzetta dello Sport highlighted that he was Roma’s Plan B behind Gasperini.
Eyeing up Terzic for both Everton and Roma suggests that The Friedkin Group really love his work, and he could be in the mix for both clubs in the future as a result.
