The Friedkin Group have turned Everton around since they took over the club.
The Friedkins took a 99.5 per cent stake in Everton after purchasing Farhad Moshiri’s stakes in December 2024.
However, a new financial revelation will leave the Americans concerned.

Premier League Summer Series details emerge after Everton involvement
Everton were involved in the Premier League Summer Series, a series of pre-season friendlies in the United States.

A report from The Athletic on 25 September claims that the competition was “bad news” for the Premier League, as it lost money rather than increasing their finances.
It states that while it is not as much as the 2023 edition lost, the reveal from the shareholders’ meeting this week is head-scratching, because the clash between Manchester United and West Ham had a bigger crowd than the Club World Cup final, which was also played in MetLife Stadium.
Ultimately, while the Premier League made a loss, Everton chiefs will not care about the finances.

Everton will hopefully benefit from the exposure
Everton took part in the tournament, hoping to expand their fanbase in America, which is already pretty decent.
The new ownership will have hoped to sell shirts and other merchandise and make more money in the long run, and increase their foothold in their owners’ country.
The Blues lost 3-0 to Bournemouth in their first game in America
They then lost 2-1 to West Ham in their second match
Their final clash was a 2-2 draw with Manchester United
While that may ultimately be the case, it will no doubt be a disappointment for the league, that the series did not perform as well as they would have expected from a financial standpoint.
For David Moyes’ side, it was ultimately about fitness and getting his squad up to speed; any revenue that may have been gained or lost, will be irrelevant in the grand scheme of things to the Scotsman and his players.
Whether it ultimately benefits the Toffees remains to be seen, but the league may decide that it is not worth the hassle in the future.
