Everton hero Tim Cahill issues Bill Kenwright message ahead of the Merseyside Derby

Tim Cahill has taken to social media to share an Everton message ahead of the Merseyside Derby at Anfield.

The time is almost up for Everton before they take to the pitch against their city rivals for the first time this season.

David Moyes is yet to pick up three points at Anfield across his entire career, but he takes his side to L4 in fine form.

But it is the former Everton forward, Tim Cahill, who has taken to social media on Saturday morning to share his thoughts ahead of the game.

Cahill wished Moyes luck when he returned to Everton, but he has now issued his gratitude to some other Everton figures.

Earlier in the year, Cahill was in attendance for Everton vs Nottingham Forest, but it is not known whether he’ll be at Anfield on Saturday.

Three points against the league leaders would be a huge statement from the Blues, who are impressing a lot of people so far this season.

‘Thank you to David Moyes, Bill Kenwright & the incredible Everton supporters.

‘Once a Blue, always a Blue.’

Everton’s strikers have not exactly got off to an electric start this season, with only Beto on the scoreboard in the opening four games.

Moyes is working to improve Beto in training at Finch Farm, but Cahill was a player who knew how to find the back of the net against the Reds.

Tim Cahill’s Everton record vs Liverpool

Scoring on a consistent basis has been an issue for Everton over recent seasons.

The Toffees have shown they can score multiple times in a game, as they did against Wolves, but the blanks against Leeds United and Aston Villa were frustrating.

Saturday is a huge opportunity to really send a message out to the rest of the Premier League.

And the Blues could really do with a player like Cahill for the big occasion.
