West Ham discussing former Everton manager as potential replacement for Graham Potter

West Ham United could now see a former Everton manager potentially replace Graham Potter as their manager.

Considering both Everton and West Ham found themselves appointing new managers in January, the two sides are on completely different trajectories.

David Moyes has returned to Merseyside and has helped to transform what was a struggling Everton side under the previous manager.

Solid work was done over the summer, with Everton signing Jack Grealish in a big-money loan from Manchester City.

Having taken seven points from their opening four games in the Premier League, the Toffees sit well clear of 18th-placed West Ham.

Now, Potter is under real threat of losing his seat in the London Stadium dugout, and one former Everton manager could be under consideration to replace him.

It has now been over six months since Dyche lost his job on Merseyside, where he has since only appeared in media appearances.

According to TalkSPORT correspondent Alex Crook, Dyche is expected to be one of the managers who are to be considered by West Ham.

‘Slaven Bilic a contender to make a surprise return to West Ham if Graham Potter is sacked,’ he said.

‘Owner David Sullivan favours turning to former boss Bilic. Out of work pair Nuno Espirito Santo and Sean Dyche have also been discussed.’

Since being sacked, Dyche has praised Moyes for his Everton turnaround, despite his belief that all the players needed was a new voice.

With things going so poorly in east London, perhaps Dyche is being viewed as a manager who could simply save West Ham from the relegation battle.

Everton avoided Graham Potter disaster
Earlier in the year, Everton considered Potter as their own Dyche replacement, but he decided to join the Hammers.

A strike of good luck for the Blues, who have landed on their feet by bringing Moyes back to the club.

Since January, the direction of the two clubs is there for all to see, and it is certainly Everton who have come out of their managerial change better.
