Thomas Tuchel clearly told by unexpected Everton star he wants an England call-up

Everton have a number of players who are performing at a level that should catch the attention of England manager Thomas Tuchel.
David Moyes has been able to guide his side to seven points from a possible 12 in the Premier League so far this season.
There have been some real positives to come from the early stages of Everton’s campaign, with Jack Grealish being one of them.

Currently leading the assists chart with four in four games, Grealish was named the Premier League Player of the Month for August.
However, it is not just the 30-year-old who is knocking on Tuchel’s door at St. George’s Park.
One other Everton player has now shared his desire to break into the England squad ahead of next year’s World Cup.
Everton’s James Garner shares England message
James Garner has shone for Everton this season in playing a new position at left-back through the opening weeks.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
Injuries have already hit the Toffees, but the likes of Garner have more than done their part in filling in for Moyes.
Speaking to the Everton website, Garner has expressed his desire to earn a call-up to the England squad over the coming weeks.
“It’s been a good start to the season but I’m focused on keeping it going for a full season,” he said.
“As I say, the past few seasons have been up and down for me. I want to stay fit, first and foremost, and I want to play as much as I can, have a good season for the Club and hopefully get recognised by England at some point, too.

“I want to get into that England team – that’s my long-term goal. I know it’s not going to happen overnight but I definitely feel like I’ve got the quality, so it’s just about keeping consistent and improving with every game. I’m hopeful it’ll come.”
Moyes has suggested Garner should be in England’s thinking ahead of the next round of international fixtures coming up next month.
It would certainly be a shock call-up across the league, but Evertonians have seen just how good Garner has played in his new position of left-back.
Thomas Tuchel will select England squad based on form
One big boost for Garner is that Tuchel has already admitted he picks his squad on recent form and not just reputation.
This will be positive news for both Garner and Grealish, who are both looking for an England call-up.
Everton are looking to hand Garner a new deal, on the back of his positive start to the new campaign.
It has been a turbulent 12 months for the midfielder, who did not exactly show much consistency at Everton last season.
However, since the new term kicked off, Garner has massively overperformed and proven himself to be one of the most reliable players in the squad.
The message has been sent to Tuchel, who will surely be open to trying new players ahead of the World Cup next year.
