Arne Slot drops early Alexander Isak hint for Liverpool vs Everton Harry Dimond

Arne Slot has now hinted at the likelihood of Alexander Isak starting against Everton for Liverpool in the upcoming Merseyside Derby.
Everton are set to return to the Premier League with some very tricky fixtures.
Aston Villa are first on Saturday, and it doesn’t get easier for David Moyes’ side as a visit to Anfield awaits, along with some difficult tests.

It will be interesting to see if the Toffees’ momentum will come to an end after the break, but Paul Merson backs Everton to beat Villa.
Unai Emery’s side are out of form, but when the Toffees meet the Red side of Merseyside, it won’t be easy, and new striker Alexander Isak’s involvement could be crucial.

Arne Slot might have suggested that Alexander Isak won’t start for Liverpool vs Everton
The derby will have been the first fixture Evertonians look for, as they hope to end the 26-year winless run at Liverpool’s home ground in front of fans.
With Isak, that makes this task very hard, but Slot might have just hinted that the Swede could be benched for the encounter.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
“The Swedish manager deserves a big compliment. If he had played him twice for 90 minutes, he probably would have gotten injured,” Slot said in his Burnley pre-match presser.
“We will treat Alex the same as they did. He missed a proper pre-season, now we have to build him up gradually. We’ve signed him for 6 years.”
Moyes is on track to compete with Liverpool, and the news that their new £125 million man might not be starting could be a real boost.
There is always a chance this could be mind games from the Dutch manager, and two players will be hoping so after a previous encounter.

Jordan Pickford and James Tarkowski will be relieved after Alexander Isak success vs Everton
The former Newcastle forward could still feature, but it looks like Liverpool will be treading lightly.
Jordan Pickford and James Tarkowski might be relieved at this news, after the 25-year-old created one of the most impressive assists the Premier League has ever seen versus Everton.
An absolutely breathtaking assist from Alex Isak.
At one point last season, Isak matched Everton’s goal-scoring record, proving how much of a threat he can be.
There could still be a twist in the tale that sees Liverpool’s striker start, but for now, the Blues might not have to face him from the off at Anfield.
