Dino Ebel ‘Excited’ For Return To Team USA Coaching Staff For 2026 World Baseball Classic | Dodger Blue

Dino Ebel, the Los Angeles Dodgers’ third base coach, is set to return to Team USA’s coaching staff for the 2026 World Baseball Classic (WBC). Ebel previously served in the same role during the 2023 WBC, where the U.S. team secured a silver medal. His extensive experience in Major League Baseball (MLB) coaching, including stints with the Los Angeles Angels and Dodgers, positions him as a valuable asset to the national team.
The 2026 WBC is scheduled from March 5 to 17, with games in Houston, Miami, Tokyo, and San Juan. Team USA will compete in Pool B in Houston against Brazil, Great Britain, Italy, and Mexico. Manager Mark DeRosa, who led the team to the 2023 final, will return to helm the squad. The coaching staff boasts a wealth of MLB experience, including bench coach Skip Schumaker, hitting coach Matt Holliday, pitching coach Andy Pettitte, and first base coach George Lombard.
Ebel’s return underscores his integral role in Team USA’s coaching strategy. His familiarity with the players and the international tournament environment will be crucial as the team aims to clinch its second WBC title. With the addition of star players like Aaron Judge, Team USA is poised to contend for the championship.
