São Paulo Conclui Aluguel de Moreira para Porto, Retirando Defensor do Jogo de HojeU

São Paulo is on the verge of finalizing yet another deal with Porto. Following their successful sale of William Gomes for €10 million (approximately R$61.4 million), the Brazilian club is set to send Moreira, another talent developed at their Cotia academy, to Portugal. The young full-back is expected to travel to Portugal later this week to undergo medical examinations. The agreement between the two clubs dictates that Moreira will join Porto on loan until December 2025, but it includes a purchase clause that may come into play if the player impresses and garners interest from the Portuguese side. Due to this impending transfer, Moreira’s name has been removed from head coach Luis Zubeldía’s lineup for the match this Wednesday (29) against Portuguesa at Pacaembu Stadium. Patryck is likely to take his place in the starting eleven. Moreira’s move to Portuguese football has been anticipated at Morumbi since the latter months of 2024, when São Paulo initially included the promising defender in negotiations to acquire Wendell. However, an agreement could not be reached at that time. Having represented São Paulo’s first team since 2022, Moreira has played 26 matches and was part of the squad that won the historic Copa do Brasil in 2023, as well as the Supercopa do Brasil in 2024 for the club.
