Tottenham make contact to sign £25m attacker once tipped to become ‘the best in Europe’

According to a recent report, Tottenham Hotspur have made enquiries to sign a £20m-rated attacker this summer transfer window.
Tottenham are set to undergo a major squad reshuffle this window with as many as 10 players potentially leaving the club.
Emerson Royal and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg look set to depart in the coming days to facilitate incoming arrivals.
That said, there’s an attacker on the continent that Spurs are eager to sign this summer having already made initial contact.
Tottenham make contact to sign Federico Chiesa
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, via Tutto Juve, Tottenham have made contact to sign Juventus winger Federico Chiesa, who was once tipped to become ‘the best in Europe’ per Goal.
The Italian outlet adds that it’s increasingly likely Chiesa will depart Juve this summer and he is thought to favour a move abroad, despite interest from Roma.
With his contract due to expire next year, the Serie A giants accept that they’ll have to sanction a sale that’s much lower than his true value.
In fact, it’s being reported that the 26-year-old could be available for just £25m, which is a fantastic deal for any forthcoming suitors.
Chelsea and Manchester United also interested
If Tottenham are to land Chiesa’s signature this summer, they’ll have to fend off really strong competition.
That’s because Chelsea and Manchester United are also thought to be keeping tabs on his situation, with the latter exploring a possible swap deal involving Jadon Sancho – who is of interest to Juve.
As well as Chiesa, Tottenham are also looking at Eberechi Eze and Pedro Neto, who would both cost significantly more than the Italian wide player.
It remains to be seen which route they take.
