Harry Kane says £50m player Tottenham sold is the toughest player he’s ever faced in training

Harry Kane has trained with some of the very best defensive players in the world.

From a prime Jan Vertonghen to Alphonso Davies, Kane has had to train against some of the best defenders of this generation.

However, according to the England captain, the toughest player he has ever faced in training is someone Spurs sold a few years ago.

Indeed, speaking to Pro Direct Soccer on TikTok, Kane has named Kyle Walker as his toughest opponent in training, stating that he finds it so difficult to play against his former Tottenham and current England teammate.

Kane spoke about what it’s like to train against Walker.

“Toughest opponent in training?” Kane was asked.

“Toughest opponent in training? I would say Kyle Walker again,” Kane said.

Kyle Walker is a nightmare
There won’t be a single striker in world football who envies Harry Kane here.

Training against Walker every single day must’ve been a nightmare at Tottenham before his £50m move to Man City and it must still be a nightmare with England.

Walker may not be the most technically gifted footballer on the planet, but in terms of his physical abilities, there may not be a defender in world football who has his skillset.

Walker has a remarkable blend of pace and strength, and that means that no striker is able to get past him or shrug him off.

Kane, as everyone knows, is one of the smartest strikers in the game, but there’s nothing you can really do when you’re playing against a defender who is so much faster and so much stronger than you are.

Walker may be getting a bit older now, but he’s not shown any signs of slowing down in recent seasons.

Walker is every striker’s nightmare, and luckily for Kane, he doesn’t have to play against him in training all that often these days as he only has to face him during international breaks.
