For the team and its supporters alike, his failure to adjust to the Scottish Premiership and contribute significantly to the Gers’ campaign was disappointing. There isn’t much incentive for the team to think about signing Silva permanently this summer given his lackluster performance.
It would be prudent for the team to pursue Lawrence Shankland or perhaps Albion Rrahmani in order to get a more dependable and consistent striker who can assist them compete at the highest level and score goals. Silva is not the solution to their attacking needs, as demonstrated by his loan stint at Ibrox, and investing in him would be a hazardous decision that could impede the team’s progress.
