Rovereto Nayacalevu has been as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Fiji Rugby, the organization is happy to announce. The vast experience and admirable accomplishments that Mr. Nayacalevu has made to the nation in the areas of government and commerce make him the perfect candidate for this crucial position, according to the Fiji Rugby Board of Trustees.
Rovereto Nayacalevu, who most recently held the positions of PS for the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Acting Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Fisheries and Forestry, brings a plethora of expertise to Fiji Rugby. He successfully oversaw more than 100 federal officials in these capacities, exhibiting excellent organizational and strategic leadership. His track record of successfully charting and directing these businesses toward their aims and objectives is unquestionable.
Apart from his noteworthy tenure in the government, Mr. Nayacalevu has occupied other senior positions in the commercial industry throughout Fiji and the Pacific region, including in the Solomon Islands and Samoa. His proficiency in the areas of sales, operations, procurement, and logistics demonstrates his adaptable leadership abilities. Mr. Nayacalevu’s Master of Business Administration from the University of the South Pacific complements his wealth of real-world experience.
Mr. Nayacalevu has a long background with rugby, having played the game at the 15s and 7s Provincial levels. He is a passionate supporter of rugby in Fiji. His strong rugby ties, professional training, and leadership background put him in a unique position to guide Fiji Rugby into the future.
Mr. Simione Valenitabua, who has dedicatedly worked with the Board of Trustees to guide the organization toward good change, steps down and is replaced by Mr. Nayacalevu. Rugby House has a solid foundation because to Mr. Valenitabua’s commitment and hard work, and Mr. Nayacalevu is determined to expand on it to help Fiji Rugby and the nation’s rugby community succeed going forward.
