Dr Rajpal Brar says Blackburn Rovers forward Sammie Szmodics will probably pass his Everton medical if required.
According to the injury expert, the Republic of Ireland international should have no trouble adjusting to life in the Premier League because of his perfect fitness history.
After winning the Championship’s Golden Boot title the previous season, he has been linked to a potential £20 million move to Goodison Park.
Brar, a sports scientist and physical therapy specialist, said the following about Szmodics in an exclusive interview with Goodison News:
“Szmodics’ fitness background is unquestionably good, and clubs who were monitoring him would have seen this.
“Entry into higher intensity levels is always encouraged by an almost perfect injury record.
Even though the Premier League is a higher level of competition, he has demonstrated his fitness in the Championship.
“If Everton decides to sign him, he will undoubtedly pass his physical.”
Sammie Szmodics is the kind of player that Everton needs.
Despite being an attacking midfielder by trade, the 28-year-old appeared in many games this past season as a striker.
His 27 goals in the league should come as no surprise, yet most of them have come from the number 10 spot.
Sean Dyche has used Abdoulaye Doucoure as his backup striker, and he would surely prefer someone like Szmodics in that position because it will even lessen the pressure on
