Gabriel Agbonlahor names two players who ‘shouldn’t be starting’ for Tottenham
Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur suffered a defeat to Fulham in the London derby on Saturday.
Tottenham Hotspur went down 3-0 to Fulham away from home at Craven Cottage in the Premier League.
All three goals came in the second half. It was a poor performance from Tottenham, who hammered Aston Villa last weekend.
While reflecting on the match, former Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has named two Tottenham players head coach Ange Postecoglou should not start.
The talkSPORT pundit does not think that Germany international forward Timo Werner, who is on loan from RB Leipzig, and Wales international forward Brennan Johnson are good enough to start for Tottenham.

Johnson, 22, started for Tottenham against Fulham in the London derby. He has made 15 starts and seven substitute appearances in the league this season, scoring four goals and providing six assists in the process.
Against Fulham, Werner came on as a substitute in the 66th minute. The 28-year-old has made five starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Tottenham, scoring two goals and providing two assists in the process.
Timo Werner and Brennan Johnson deemed not good enough to start for Tottenham Hotspur
Agbonlahor said on talkSPORT (8:09 pm, March 16, 2024) while discussing Johnson’s pace: “Similar to Werner, sometimes Mudryk as well. Sometimes when you get these quick players, they can make the wrong choice at the wrong time.
“Like I said earlier, a couple of weeks ago, Johnson and Werner shouldn’t be starting for a team that want to be fighting for the league title, if Spurs want to do that. They should be players on the bench to come on.
“He should have, like, Kulusevski on the right, Son on the left and a top number 9 upfront.”
Tottenham Hotspur should be confident
In my opinion, Tottenham Hotspur should stay confident about their chances of finishing fourth in the Premier League table this season.
Yes, the result against Fulham was disappointing, but such slip-ups will happen. Spurs are still only two points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa.
I think that Tottenham will end up fourth and get back into the UEFA Champions League.
