Journalist thinks Spurs would now accept a £60m offer for first-team regular
The Standard’s Dan Kilpatrick has said that Tottenham Hotspur will be willing to cash in on Richarlison in the summer if they can get back the money they paid for the striker in 2022.
Richarlison had come under plenty of criticism during his first year and a half at Tottenham as the striker failed to live up to his £60m price tag.
In fact, even many Spurs fans had written him off as a flop until a couple of months ago but since returning from his groin surgery, the 26-year-old has made his critics eat their words.
Not only has the Brazilian lead the line impressively but he has also shown that he can find the back of the net with regularity if he gets the right service.
Despite Richarlison’s impressive recent displays, reports have indicated that Tottenham will enter the market to sign a marquee centre-forward in the summer, with Brentford’s Ivan Toney thought to be one of the names on their wishlist (Football Insider).

It was widely reported during the January transfer window that multiple Saudi Arabian clubs showed concrete interest in securing Richarlison (Matt Law –The Last Word is Spurs podcast).

Kilpatrick believes that if any of those sides make a £60m offer for the former Everton man, Spurs will be tempted to accept it.
When asked if the Lilywhites’ number nine could leave in the summer, the journalist said on The Tottenham Way Podcast: “It probably does depend on offers. If someone comes in and offers Spurs their money back this summer then I think they’ll take it, but I doubt they will get that offer.”

While every player has a price, I would be extremely surprised if Tottenham decided to sell Richarlison for the same fee that they paid for him.
Ange Postecoglou made it clear that he is a fan of the Brazilian even when he was struggling for goals earlier this season and I do not think the Australian will want to lose the 26-year-old even if Spurs were to bring another big-name striker through the door.
