Everton appeal news: ‘Massive’ verdict now on cards

Everton appeal news: ‘Massive’ verdict now imminent at Goodison Park

Dan Plumley has insisted that a “massive” verdict is on the way for Everton as they await the results of their appeal against the Premier League points deduction.

The football finance expert admitted that a verdict was expected days ago, but has now dragged into this week with a domino effect on the cards.

It has now been shared that an outcome is expected in the next 48 hours, with that set to impact the second Everton charge as well as Nottingham Forest too.

“Everyone is waiting on this one in terms of what the appeal comes through as to second guess where things move next,” he exclusively told Goodison News.

“With the 10-point deduction, does that remain at 10 points? Is it reduced? That will then dictate a lot of the conversation around what may happen with the second charge.

“As we’re talking now, we believe the verdict was meant to be out a few days ago and it is imminent, but until we see it, there are going to be questions up in the air for the club and the club will want to know where they are at to be able to look at the league situation with the run-in.

“It’s going to be a massive verdict and it will probably then set the dominoes in effect for what happens next, not just with Everton, but Nottingham Forest as well.”

Sean Dyche is yet to have heard anything on the appeal himself and even gave a vague timeline of a “couple of weeks” with answers now expected imminently.

Everton and the Premier League will be informed of the decision by the independent commission first before it becomes public knowledge.

Fingers crossed for positive news.
