Andy Gray has predicted Everton to take six points from their next five games, including the point they picked up against Tottenham, with the three home games likely to prove vital.
Gray made the call before the 2-2 draw with Tottenham at Goodison Park and has told Sean Dyche’s side they will need to find results people don’t expect if they want to get out of trouble.
Other than the Spurs game, Everton now face Crystal Palace and West Ham in their next two at home, after Gray wrote off results against either Manchester City or Brighton as losses.
Speaking live on beIN SPORT [3 February], Gray shared: “Look at that coming up. Look at the home record, it’s got to get better. We’ve got Spurs, Palace and West Ham at home.
Keys then asked: “How many points from those five [fixtures]?” Gray responded: “Oh wow… Well, we’re not going to beat City, let’s say we lose there. Away at Brighton, they’ve got to find some form although we did beat them last year, but that was last year.
“If Everton took six points from those five games, that’s just over a point per game, that would be a decent return. They’re going to have to find results that we don’t expect.”
Everton prove Goodison Park advantage is key
The crowd at Goodison Park plays such a huge park in all the success Everton could have at home, willing the team on and giving them the extra bit of energy needed late in the game, and that was on display yet again in the late 2-2 draw with Tottenham.
There has been an element of ferocity in this crowd as well since the club were handed a ten-point deduction by the Premier League, with those protests continuing before the game against Tottenham and inspiring the crowd.

There has been a siege mentality at Goodison Park given the events off the field this season, with Sean Dyche leading that and his football playing perfectly to the mentality, and as Gray has pointed out, that home form will be vital.
Six points from their next five games, now five from their next four after Tottenham, will set them up nicely as they look to pull away from the relegation zone, with Luton also making a good go of a push for survival in recent weeks.
