Unbelievable £68m star with 111 goals / assists since 2020 now being linked with West Ham move

West Ham United are said to be in constant contact with Portuguese giants Sporting about signing Pedro Goncalves before deadline day.
Sporting ace Pedro Goncalves is said to be firmly on the West Ham radar in the January transfer window, according to a report from O Jogo.
In fact, it is suggested that Hammers boss David Moyes is in constant contact with Sporting about potentially bringing the 25-year-old to the London Stadium this month.
Moyes desperately needs to add more firepower to his attacking ranks at the London Stadium this month, but unfortunately for him a move to sign Ibrahim Osman is proving to be rather problematic.
With that in mind, the West Ham boss is thought to be casting his net further afield, with Sporting star Goncalves on his radar.
Aston Villa want to sign the Portugal international as well it seems, so it certainly won’t be a straightforward signing for the Hammers…

O Jogo reckon that the Hammers are constantly speaking to Sporting about bringing the former Wolves man back to the Premier League this month.
MORE WEST HAM STORIES
I think Goncalves would be a terrific signing for West Ham, and he’s attacking output would take us to a whole new level entirely.
Wolves sold the attacker to Famalicao back in 2019, before he eventually moved on to Sporting a year later.
He has been a huge hit with the Portuguese giants, bagging 68 goals and 43 assists in 158 games (Transfermarkt).
111 goal involvements since 2020 is quite the return isn’t it. The right-footed attacker can play on either wing or in the number 10 position.
The 25-year-old has a £60 million release clause inserted into his current contract with Sporting (The Sun), although O Jogo claim that it’s closer to £68 million.
West Ham clearly won’t be paying anything like that for Pedro Goncalves in the January transfer window, but perhaps a loan deal with an option to buy him in the summer would work.
I would absolutely love the Portuguese ace to join us, but I accept that he’s a completely unrealistic target for us all the same.
