Everton set Christmas ‘ambition’ as new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium update emerges
In the past, many fans would mock the timing of each release as it almost seemed to paper over the cracks of poor defeats or strange decisions. However, since Sean Dyche has restored some semblance of stability, each release has been far more well-received.
With royal blue seats now creeping into the stands, and the finishing touches being put on key areas of the steelwork, it truly feels like the essence of the arena is finally there to be appreciated.
Just driving past it is enough to outline the immense scale of the project, dwarfing Goodison Park in both stature and style.
So, to see a fresh update drop just yesterday marked another exciting video for fans to consume, in which the Everton Stadium X account showed off the brickwork as well as the inner workings of the stadium.
Alongside the video, they also detail their short-term plans, writing: ‘More than 7,500 seats have now been fitted, with the ambition of having the entire upper tier ready by Christmas!’
It is true that the scale of the Bramley-Moore stadium is set to leave Goodison Park in its wake. After all, it would make little sense to move into a new arena that did not offer additional opportunities for more fans to come and watch Everton.
And, given the shiny new home they are set to inhabit, that alone will surely draw spectators.
A state-of-the-art stadium set to bring widespread commercial opportunities, the additional revenue boost gained from allowing more fans to watch the games live is also sure to help them out of the financial hole they find themselves in.
With the Old Lady hosting a proud 39,572, their new arena is instead set to boast a 52,888 capacity with an option to add 10,000 in the future should the Toffees require it.
Given how relentlessly well-supported they have been over the years, and the brighter future that such a build might usher in, that will surely come to fruition one day in the near future.
