What’s the story?

Ebiowei is now 20 years-old. Sadly he has only played 12 minutes in the Premier League for the Eagles this season.

Most of his time this season has been spent in the academy side. The winger has played seven games for the U21s, scoring once and assisting once in these matches.

He is now of the age where he needs to prove himself to Crystal Palace and show that he can be a key player in the future.

The only way he can do this is to prove himself at a senior level. With this in mind, he needs to be loaned out in January to a club in the EFL. He can get consistent minutes and prove that he can reach the potential that the club believes he has.

With the right-winger only playing 12 minutes in the Premier League this season, he is clearly someone who manager Roy Hodgson does not believe is ready for this high level of football.

This isn’t bad as he is still only 20-years-old. It would make a lot more sense for him to be loaned in January rather than stay playing with the academy.

The potential of Ebiowei is very exciting. The club need to make sure his growth is not stunted by him playing in the academy for a whole season.

There are a few exciting academy stars who have shown that they can be playing at a senior level by their performances in the EFL Trophy.

Ebiowei, who scored for the Crystal Palace U21s against Stevenage, is one of them. Hopefully, he can secure a decent loan move in January.
