Very good’: Sam Johnstone says 25-year-old Arsenal player is absolutely ‘unbelievable’

Aaron Ramsdale may be struggling to get a game at Arsenal right now, but we shouldn’t forget just how good a goalkeeper he is.

The England international made his way into the PFA Team of the Year last season after a string of incredible performances for the Gunners, but, for some reason, Mikel Arteta seems to have forgotten that.
Fortunately for Ramsdale, the wider footballing world hasn’t forgotten just how brilliant he can be, and speaking on the Seaman Says Podcast, Sam Johnstone has been full of praise for the Arsenal stopper.

The Crystal Palace goalkeeper spoke highly of the Arsenal goalkeeper and his ability to play out from the back.

“It’s a hard one that. To be fair, Aaron (Ramsdale) is very good at it (playing out from the back). Aaron is unbelievable, I see him obviously when he comes from England and he’s so good at passing it around and with both feet.

Brilliant

Johnstone is absolutely right to praise Ramsdale. After all, he is a fantastic goalkeeper.

Mikel Arteta could do with hearing this right now, for some reason, he seems to have forgotten just how reliable his former number one was last season.

David Raya has taken his place between the sticks, and while he is looking shaky at the moment, Arteta seems to have ultimate faith in the Spaniard for some reason.

Ramsdale may well be looking for an exit from north London by the time January rolls around, and we really wouldn’t blame a player of this quality for trying to find a club where he’ll be guaranteed first-team football on a weekly basis.

Ramsdale is way too good to be rotting on the bench at Arsenal, and we can only hope he can find a solution at some point in the near future.
