Crystal Palace now battling PL rivals to signature of 20-year-old EFL star
Crystal Palace are interested in Norwich City starlet Jonathan Rowe, but they will now face competition from Wolves for his signature.
The 20-year-old is currently enjoying a stunning campaign in the Championship, as he has scored seven goals in 16 games, and is on the radar of several Premier League sides for a January move.
Links to Crystal Palace emerged in recent months, with Roy Hodgson’s side in need of some extra firepower in attack, and the versatile talent could be the ideal signing in January.
Crystal Palace face competition for Jonathan Rowe
A report from TEAMTALK has now claimed that following Palace’s interest in the England under-21 international, Wolves are now also admiring Rowe, and Palace may have to battle them and Aston Villa to sign him.
Rowe’s contract expires in 2025, and Norwich are keen to tie him down to a new deal, but because there is likely to be strong Premier League interest in January, this may not be an easy task for the Canaries.

Rowe’s versatility means he can play on both wings and behind the striker, and has regularly changed position throughout this season.
His eye for goal could be ideal for Palace, who have struggled going forward at times this season, and at 20, he could fit perfectly into a squad which contains young attacking starlets such as Michael Olise.

Rowe could form part of the trio behind the striker alongside Olise and Eberechi Eze, but should he join, it may further limit opportunities for summer signing Matheus Franca.
However, the Norwich star looks an exciting talent for the future, and given his explosive form, he could be ready to make an impact in January. Should he do well, his value will likely soar, and his ability to play in multiple positions would come in particularly useful if Palace are able to win the battle for his signature.
