As attention turns to this Saturday’s final clash before the international break, it would be easy to forget that Everton were also in action with the U21s this week too.
Whilst that would seldom be big news for the wider fanbase, starts for Youssef Chermiti and Seamus Coleman drew intrigue, as their £15m summer signing was handed a big chance to impress, and their 35-year-old leader made his long-awaited injury comeback.
Naturally, these two have dominated the narratives following, perhaps leaving Lewis Dobbin somewhat unappreciated following an impressive showing.
The 20-year-old, who has worked his way through the academy and even enjoyed a spell out on loan, boasts plenty of experience for someone so young.
And yet, he retains that youthful exuberance that makes him so special, with his desperation to embarrass opposition full-backs a trait certain to endear him to the fans.

Especially with Dobbin waiting in the wings for his chance, showcasing that same energy with the touch of quality that Harrison has been missing.
