Leicester City face another “tough test” against Middlesbrough following their defeat to Leeds United, says former Foxes player Matt Piper.
Enzo Maresca’s Foxes face Michael Carrick’s Boro at the Riverside Stadium in the Championship on Saturday, having lost 1-0 to Leeds at the King Power Stadium last time out.
It was only City’s second league defeat of the season – in 15 matches – and they are still three points clear at the top of the table and 11 points above Leeds, who are in third place. But Piper has warned his former club that Middlesbrough will be another huge test of their promotion credentials.
“We have not lost two on the bounce, so the first time that happens, it will put a dent in the confidence that we built up at the start of the season. I think Middlesbrough are 12th at the minute but that is kind of a false position,” he told
