Everton have no choice but to sell Andre Gomes as fresh injury update emerges

Everton may have no choice but to cash in on Andre Gomes in the January transfer window as a fresh injury update has emerged on him.
The Portugal international has not even played a single minute of football for the Toffees this season.
An injury expert, Dr Rajpal Brar, has revealed that he’s going to miss the next few games at least and there’s no return date mooted for the 30-year-old.
Discussing his situation exclusively with Goodison News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“Based on those comments, it sounds like he is yet to work on the grass with physios so the main focus is likely in the training room for now.
“Behind the scenes, the physios will be playing a more hands-on role.
“He’s set to miss the next few games for Everton.”
A player like Gomes is not going to be on low wages at Goodison Park as he’s a full Portugal international who’s played for clubs like Barcelona and Benfica.
When he joined Everton in 2018, it was seen as a huge coup by the club and they expected him to be the first name on the team sheet for the next few years and be among their best players.
However, his fitness record coupled with his poor form stopped that from happening and another transfer window passed with the club not selling him.
Last season, he was out on loan at LOSC Lille and even they did not want to sign him permanently which suggests just how erratic his displays have been.
This January window does seem like the perfect time to cash in on him.
