Footage has emerged showing Crystal Palace loanee Killian Phillips producing a moment of quality in an EFL Trophy match last night.
The loaned-out Crystal Palace player was playing for Wycombe Wanderers in their group stage match against Stevenage.

Crystal Palace loanee Killian Phillips assists in EFL Trophy match
Wycombe were the winners last night as they beat Stevenage 1-0 in the EFL Trophy match. This puts them top of Group C and they are in the same group as the Crystal Palace U21 side. Palace currently sit last after their only game saw them narrowly lose 1-0 to Wycombe.
The game which Phillips took part in last night was a cagey affair, but the midfielder produced a great bit of quality in the 70th minute which was crucial to Wycombe picking up the win.
Phillips was strong as he got past a Stevenage player on the right wing and then he managed a lovely lofted cross which was headed in by Sam Vokes. Wycombe posted the goal on social media website X.
That was the Irish midfielder’s first assist for the League One club this season and no doubt all at Palace will be over the moon with his performance last night.
Killian Phillips has the potential to become a Crystal Palace player
The attacking midfielder has featured in 12 matches for Wycombe so far this season, but he has been in and out of the starting lineup. His loan at Shrewsbury last season saw his manager at the time Steve Cotterill called him ‘immense‘
He hasn’t been at his best consistently, but his top performance and assist last night will be the morale boost he needs to hopefully push on and prove himself.
A loan move this summer was the best idea for the 21 year-old, who needs to have a top season if he ever wants to become a Crystal Palace player.
With his quality on the ball and physique, Phillips definitely has the potential to become a Palace player, the issue is whether he can be consistent enough to prove himself to Roy Hodgson and the rest of the managerial staff at the Eagles.
Hopefully, we now start to see Phillips produce more goal contributions for Wycombe this season. League one is a tough division but he needs to stand out if he wants to become a Premier League player.
The future at the Eagles looks bright so it will be very interesting to see how many in the academy can actually make it to the senior squad.
