Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham certainly received a fright on the final day of October’s round of international fixtures. Initially appearing to be a very good week or so for the club with a lot more positives than negatives, the sight of Son Heung-min limping off at the break in South Korea’s big win over Vietnam left many Spurs fans fearing the worst.

Although Son did manage to play on and complete the full 90 minutes, the Tottenham ace did appear to be struggling in the closing stages as he could be seen grimacing while on his haunches. If that wasn’t bad enough for Postecoglou, the Spurs head coach was to receive a further shock later in the day with Cristian Romero coming off at the start of the second half in Argentina’s win over Peru.

On the end of a challenge early on, Romero looked to be in a bit of discomfort with his right ankle but he managed to play on until he was replaced by German Pezzella. There was one bit of good news from the game, though, as Giovani Lo Celso stepped up his return to fitness by playing the closing stages of the match in Peru.
